[The last port had sounded... traumatic. Indeed, five years later it brings back Vasilia's memories of Sanitarium Island quite clearly, and that only from listening to network traffic.

It's getting more difficult to restrain her homesickness. And the lack of her household robots, each in their way individual and attuned to her, is never more pronounced.

She desperately needs to talk Robotics.]

For those recovered from the recent port, or any who stayed aboard-- I wonder if any of you I do not know are familiar with robotics? Mister Stark, I believe, has mentioned AI in his posting, among others. A comparative discussion on local robotic design practice or the aspects of Programmatic Intelligence might not be particularly useful in rehabilitative efforts-- but still might be a pleasant way to spend an hour or so?

I am. He's currently in the TARDIS. I'll be waiting in my room.

[The Doctor's stark white cabin is neater than usual- he shoved most of his experiments into the closet. The TARDIS is in the middle of the room, and uh... is still pink, despite her efforts to appear otherwise. The mongoose is toddling around his feet when he goes to the door to get it for her.]

And a good-day to you, Vasilia. Mind the mongoose. It's tangled me once or twice.

I had a robotic animal- K9, as designed by a Professor Marius. This design was expanded on and applied to humanoid life forms the creator called "femdroids". I applied the design to the young man in the making but... He's lacking covering at the moment. [He opens up the TARDIS and lets her in, and... there's the console room. Dimensional transcendence within dimensional transcendence.]

Yes you may see it, come along- [And he's off down the hall. Not stopping to explain anything but. Just makes a motion for her to follow.]

[Unlike many of his kind, he only sometimes likes to go on about the miracles of their technology. Most of the time he's too busy to think about it.]

You certainly may. Like I said, he may be better off in your care than in mine. So long as his directives remain open.

I originally had considered not even informing him of his nature, but I believe I've done enough of that. [And that admission is a little bit mellow, and makes him want to hurry along all the more.]

I would actually rather he wouldn't- K-9 had his own sort of loyalty. But he could defend those he cared about, if worse came to worse. That same loyalty is the basis of this gentleman's programming.

[He leads her into his workshop, where the android remains mostly just bipedal wiring, surface area even without the imitation of muscle- he hadn't made it as far as he would have liked with Rex.]

You may. Feel free.

Like with K-9, and he has several. They're all interconnected and can redirect power, but the systems that allow for automated systems, mechanical drives, and independent thought have their own power supplies. The most volatile and important, of course, the one maintaining independent thought.
